FAQs

  • How much will I be charged?

At VOICE Psychologists, sessions are set to run for approximately 50 minutes. Our psychologists charge a competitive rate through normal business hours. Some sessions that include detailed psychometric assessment will incur additional fees to cover testing materials. No doctor’s referral is required unless you wish to claim a rebate via Medicare.

Our NDIS related services are priced as per the NDIS price guide.

  • Do you bulk-bill?

Unfortunately, we do not offer bulk-billed services at this time.

  • Do you offer rebates?

Rebates may apply from Medicare and most Private Health-funds . If you receive a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP you are entitled to a Medicare rebate of $93.35 per session for 10 sessions per calendar year for Registered Psychologist.. The full session fee is payable at the time of your appointment and Medicare will reimburse to your nominated bank account . Please check with your Private Health-Fund to see if you are covered.

Please note that you can’t claim rebates from Medicare as well as Private Health-fund for the same service.

  • Do you offer telephone or video services?

Absolutely, we are able to engage with our clients anywhere around the world as long as they have an internet connection and a mobile device.

Some of our assessment services do require face to face appointments, but the majority of our services can be conducted ‘virtually’.

  • Non-attendance and cancellations?

We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes to your appointment or the full fee will be charged. If you have a Monday appointment, notice is required before midday on the prior Friday to avoid cancellation fees.

You should receive an automated reminder for your appointment 48 hours in advance, simply respond to that message indicating that you can’t attend and we can contact to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

Alternatively, give us a call or send an email through to let us know if you can’t make your appointment.

  • Can I manage my own appointments?

In most cases you will be able to manage your own ongoing appointments through an online client portal. So, if you need to cancel, reschedule or re-book after a break, you will be able to do this in most cases.

Our staff can talk you through how to do this after your first appointment. Please note that this option won’t be available for all services that we provide.

  • Do you provide services through Insurance?

Yes! We are registered with Workcover in Queensland and WorkSafe in Victoria. To receive this funding, and no out of pocket expense, you must provide an appropriate referral from your GP.
